Safilguda Greater was charted in the year 2008-09 by Lion governor Dr.N.Balaiah mjf.

Since then it was showing positive growth in membership.

It has a policy that every year add minimum of one Melvin Jhone Fellow.

So far Lion Ramesh Lakshmanan, Lion L.N.Srivatsa, Lion G.R.Radhakrishna has became mjf.

It has recently donated a VAN to AIDS affected Children to go to School from their Home.

It has also donated two borewell motors one at Govt Adopted School another at Leprasy Colony.

This year 2010-11 the club is headed by Lion Chindam Srinivas as President, Lion Chunku Srinvias as Secretary and Lion Setharamaiah as Treasuer.

The club is ably guided by the Certifited Guiding Lion of our district 324 c5 Lion Ramesh Lakshaman who has also trasnfered his membership last year to this club.
