Welcome to the new online home of the San Jose Host Lions, the oldest Lions club in the Bay Area. This club was established in 1920 and has celebrated its 90th anniversary. As always, we want to "keep up with the times," using new technology to reach out to friends, fellow Lions and the community. We hope you will check back often for updates about our "new" old club!

Our May 15th meeting featured both a board meeting and a welfare meeting. A lenghty discussion focused on ways to update and refresh our two annual fundraisers. One idea that met with favor was to reduce the number of raffle and silent auction gifts and introduce games as a way to not only generate additional income but to add a little fun to these events. This idea will be discussed further at our next meeting.
Also scheduled for June, our annual Kickout Party (or Kickin Party as several officers are serving a second term) plus our farewll to beloved club member, Ramon. Ramon and his wife Linda have been transferred to the Fresno Salvation Army. He will be missed by all!

Irish Bash
Our 12th annual St. Paddy's Irish Bash was a roarrrring success!
Attendees got to bid on four exciting silent auction selections and place their raffle tickets in any and/or all of the 25 beautiful raffle prize containers. The event featured corned beef and cabbage and all the fixin's along with a bar stocked with an assortment of adult libations with drinks for the kids! But the highlight of the evening was, as always, the performance of the San Jose Irish Dance Troupe. Dancers from four to 17 entertained the guests with their high flying dance steps and stunning costumes! The end of the evening came when Alec and Anthony from Scout Troop #110 helped with the selection and delivery of the raffle prizes. As the saying goes, "A good time was had by all!"
