Scarborough Lions Club

Who are we?

We are part of Lions Club International the world’s largest service organisation.

Lions are individuals who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in their local and global communities, conducting and supporting vision and health screenings, building parks, awarding scholarships, assisting youth, providing help in times of disaster and need and much more.

Over the years we have made donations to a variety of projects within our local community, as well as nationally and internationally. These have all been aimed at improving the quality of life of those less fortunate than ourselves.

Through Lions Clubs International Foundation, we have contributed to several major international disasters.

Also through Lions Clubs International, we have our permanent sight campaign Sightfirst.

This major campaign has helped to save the sight of many thousands across the world.

All funds raised by Lions Clubs' members go directly to our charitable projects with absolutely nothing taken out for administration.

You could be in our own Lions Club Mini Bus taking a group of elderly and infirm on a pleasure outing – one of the many ways to experience the benefit of being a real LION!

Our Club is also very active with social events for members & their families who meet for dinners and social and quiz evenings - all designed to bring everyone together in a social and friendly environment. In addition we often meet with fellow Lions from other clubs for formal meetings, charter dinners and social events.
