South Boston Lions Club

The South Boston Lions Club was chartered on January 17, 1927 and has been serving the people of Halifax County and the surrounding area for over 83 years.

 100% of the money raised by our Lions Club goes to supporting local and regional organazations that help our community.

In 1925 Helen Keller, in a speech at the Lions Club International Convention, challenged the newly formed organization to become the "knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness." Since then Lions Clubs throughout the world have been working to maintain sight and prevent blindness. 

Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
