Meetings

We are the Springhill Lions and we believe that whenever a Lions club gets together, problems get smaller. And communities get better. That's because we help where help is needed – in our own communities and around the world – with unmatched integrity and energy. Our 45,000 clubs and 1.3 million members make us the world's largest service club organization.  We're also one of the most effective. We get the job done.

When it comes to meeting challenges, our response is simple: WE SERVE. In 205 countries, in hospitals and senior centers, in regions battered by natural disaster, in schools and in eyeglass recycling centers, Lions are at work, helping, leading, planning and supporting. Because we're local, we can serve the unique needs of the communities we live in. And because we're global, we can address challenges that go beyond borders.

The Springhill Lions were chartered on December 15, 1927, we are one of the oldest clubs in our District 8-L.  We support strongly the Louisiana Lions Crippled Children's Camp in Anacoco, LA and the Louisiana Lions Eye Foundation in New Orleans, which are the two largest projects of the  Louisiana Lions.  Please look at our links for more information on these projects.  We also are very active locally as we have hosted the Lumberjack Football Banquet since our inception. We also provide two college scholarships each year for our graduating seniors.  We work year round displaying the American flag on patriotic holidays for our business sponsors with our Flag Project. Seasonal projects include our fall Pecan Sale and our Chicken Charbroil in May and our annual Springhill Lumberjack Festival T-Shirts Sales.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
