WHAT WE DO

Above all, we serve…

Past service projects include a diabetes awareness program with speakers from Oktibbeha County Hospital, vision screening at the Starkville School District Communities Health Fair, collecting aluminum cans to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and volunteering at Mississippi State University events such as concerts and baseball games. Along with these activities, many of our members are also active with other service projects around the community.

Club outreach has included booths at MSU/World Neighbors Association International Fiesta, the Cotton District Arts Festival, and the Sturgis Bike Rally.  We have also participated in the Starkville Christmas Parade and the annual international students’ Thanksgiving celebration at First United Methodist Church.

The club has adopted a 2 mile strech of Highway 12 as a part of the Mississippi Adopt-a-Highway Program. We hold 3 to 4 clean up days through out the year to pick up trash along side the road.

We hold monthly meetings…

The club's General meeting is held in Memorial Hall on the MSU campus in Rm 121 on every 3rd Wednesday at 5:45 pm.

We also have fun…

The Starkville Multi-Culture Lions Club has several potluck-style picnics each year.  One of the benefits of being a member in this Lions Club is the diversity of food at the potlucks!  We also have a Christmas party and other social activities.

We meet other Lions…

Members have attended local, national and regional conventions including the MS Lions State Convention; the Mid-South Lions Leadership Weekend and the Lions Club International Convention.
