"Kindness & Respect"

Chartered November 1962

The Stratford Lions Club was chartered in November 1962 and has served it's local community since that time providing support to many local groups and individuals. Their annual Monster Xmas Stocking Raffle has been the clubs main fundraiser since 1984 and has received wonderful support from local Businesses who donate goods and services with the public supporting the project buying all the tickets.

In February 2013 the club celebrated the 50th anniversary of it's charter and has continued thrive in recent years. There are regular service projects including recycling of spectacles, Can Tabs and Heads up for Kids (old & foreign currency collection). An annual charity Golf Tournament has allowed the club to donate funds for the local RNZFB branch to support it's members.
