Club Projects

Sutter Creek Boy Scout Troop 63 - Our club is also proud to donate to their Eagle Scout Projects. Any Scout working on a project is encouraged to give a presentation to our members at one of our regular meetings.

High School Scholarships - Two (2) high school students each receive $500 from money raised.

Student Speakers Contest:  Each year we support this contest sponsored by The California Lions Club Multiple DIstrict Four.

Favorite Recipes Cookbook - $20  Proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will be used throughout the community for a variety of needs; warm clothing for school age children, scholarships, Lions in Sight, and more.

Knight Foundry - National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark and a California Registered Historical Landmark in Sutter Creek - $3,000 was donated to the Knight Foundry Alliance to help preserve this historical landmark.

Benches for Miners' Bend Park - $3,000 was donated to the Sutter Creek Community Benefit Foundation for benches at the new park site along South Main Street.

Benches for Main Street$2,000 was donated to the City of Sutter Creek to purchase three new benches with new name plates.

Sutter Creek Historic Grammar School - $3,000 was donated to the Sutter Creek Community Benefit Foundation to help with the restoration.

City of Sutter Creek - $1,000 was donated to the City of Sutter Creek for their Business Relief Program to help local businesses during the COVID-19 virus pandemic.

Eyeglass Recycling - Current location to drop off your eyeglasses is at "3 Chicks" a gift shop at 54 Main Street, Sutter Creek.

Pull Tabs - All pull tabs collected are turned into our District to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  Every 10 lbs. of tabs collected will pay for one night's stay.

Interfaith Food Bank - Every year we make a monetary donation.

Amador County Fair - Every year we make a monetary donation.

Lions Eye Foundation of California-Nevada, Inc. - As a member of the Lions Eye Foundation of California-Nevada, Inc. we have the right to refer patients.  This is a multi-step procedure requiring information from the patient and the patients' physician.  The most prevalent surgery was for cataracts, there were 16 surgeries for retina, cornea or strabismus problems that would have cost $25,000 - $35,000 each, the youngest patient was 9 years old; the oldest was 72 years old, and there were also 40 Laser Procedures with an estimated value of $60,000.  If you know of someone who would be a candidate for this program, contact Sutter Creek Lions at P.O.
