We Serve
Eyeglass Collection
To date, our club has collected and recycled over 10,000 pairs of eyeglasses. We service 15 locations monthly. A complete list of our drop-off sites can be found under "Eyeglass Recycling Locations".
Adopt-A-Highway
We help maintainour community by participating in the Adopt-a-Highway program, through both the Keep Toledo-Lucas County Beautiful program and ODOT. This is done quarterly.
Scholarships
Multiple applications are received and one graduating high school senior from the Sylvania area is chosen to receive a $1,000 college scholarship based on service and an essay.
Eyecare Assistance
Several times throughout the year, the Sylvania Sunrise Lions Club receives requests from community members for assistance with eyecare. Through the generosity of our members and with the assistance of Sylvania Area Family Services, we are able to quickly assess their need, and confidentially take care of them.
