All entries welcome
**** Parade route (2 miles): Along East Union St. right onto Court Street, right onto East Carpenter, left onto East State, right onto Morris Avenue, left onto May Avenue, Parade stops at Athens Library, but we invite all participants to come on over to the Athens Community Center. Marching units along Athens Bike Path, police assistance at E. State Street to get floats and vehicles there.
Entertainment, games, vendors, music, crafts, food donation pickup, etc.
Donations and proceeds go to Salvation Army Food Pantry and Lion’s Eyeglass Fund

· Applications available at the Athens Community Center and mailed applications must be postmarked no later than June 15, 2012, to receive a confirmation call from Queen Director
· Must have attended an Athens County High School
· Female must be single and age 16 by July 4th and no older than 20 as of July 4th
· Winner requested to participate in parades for local festivals held in Athens County only and you must have your own parade vehicle and driver
· Must have your own parade vehicle and driver to ride in the Fabulous Fourth parade as wel1
· Responsible for your own vehicle accident insurance
· Sole purpose is to promote Athens County and the events being held during the Fabulous Fourth
· Contestants will be given approximately three minutes to performance once on stage
· Parent or guardian must acknowledge their support prior to competing
· Crown and sash for the Athens County Fabulous Fourth Queen
· Crown and sash for First Runner-Up
· Crown and sash for Second Runner-Up
· After the evening gown competition and answering one surprise question verbally, approximately 20 participants will move on to the talent competition for final judging.
