THE TOWN OF HAMBURG LIONS CLUB

The Town of Hamburg Lions Club celebrated its 80th Anniversary in 2021.

The Lions Club motto is "We Serve."

Our objective is to take an active interest in activities and events that positively impact the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of our community.

What we do results in tremendous contributions to the community. Recent meetings have seen our members step up and volunteer to participate as part of Hamburg’s annual Townwide Clean-Up, begin preliminary planning for our contributions to Burgerfest in July if each year, as well as our annual Tip-Off Tournament, a high school basketball tourney each fall that helps raise funds for scholarships we award on an annual basis to college-bound students.

Our meetings also feature informative and entertaining presentations from guest speakers. Recent guests have included representatives from Hamburg Counseling Service; People, Inc.; WNY Heroes; Hamburg Water Rescue Unit; Columban Sisters and Frontier Central School Superintendent. Future presenters will focus on activities related to positive growth happening in our community and the efforts of those committed to making Hamburg a better place to live, work and play.

Our fundraising efforts throughout the year allow us to make donations to worthy causes and those seeking financial assistance, including seven local food pantries, each of whom received $700 to help feed the hungry and less fortunate residents of our community. Other organizations and individuals who have approached us and have displayed a need for assistance have benefited from our commitment to improve the lives of those who have good intentions, but for a variety of reasons, may be unable to do so.

To make reservations for a future meeting, learn more about our organization or if you have any questions you would like to have answered, feel free to call George at 716-471-1976.

The Town of Hamburg Lions Club meets the needs of our community because our members share a belief in helping others who are in need. Our motto is “We Serve.” We are part of a global service network which remains committed to doing whatever is necessary to help make a difference. Please consider our invitation to join our organization and visit us.
