Chase the Ace Game Description & Rules

* To participate, patrons can purchase tickets at Mrs. Liddy's Bar, Torbay, NL starting on February 10, 2017. The event will be held every Friday until the Ace of Spades is drawn and the game is over. Tickets will be sold on Fridays between 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm and the draw will be at 9:15pm.

* Patrons can purchase Chase the Ace ticket at the following rates: 1 for $5.00 each, 3 for $10.00, or 7 for $20.00.

* Random ticket draw takes place at 9:15 pm at the event. The winner must be present to claim prize. If no one comes forward with the winning ticket after 15 minutes, that number is disqualified and another draw will be made. During the 15 minute wait period the winning number will be called 3 more times.

* Prize information: The winner receives 20% of ticket sales from that night, 30% of ticket sales goes into the prize pool and 50% of the ticket sales of each night will go to the Portugal Cove-St. Philips Lions Club & Torbay Lions Club. The draw winner will get one chance to win the prize pool (30% of that night’s ticket sales). Cards will be fanned out and winner will draw one card. If the Ace of Spades is chosen from the deck of cards they become the overall winner.

* If the Ace of Spades is not drawn, the 30 % goes into the prize pot for the next week's draw. The card drawn is destroyed and a Lions Club organizer will fan the remaining cards to show that the Ace of spades is in the deck. The remaining cards will be stored in a secure location.

* The lottery continues the next Friday with the same deck of cards until the Ace of Spades is drawn and the game is over. In the event Mrs. Liddy's Bar is closed the draw will be made on the next available night.

* No limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased for a draw.

* Any winner who is paid a prize, will automatically be deemed to grant to the Portugal Cove-St. Philips Lions Club and Torbay Lions Club an irrevocable right to publish, through all types of media broadcasting, including the internet, for the purposes of photograph without any claim for broadcasting, printing or other rights. Any winner who is paid a prize also gives the said charities the right to publish any additional information that they voluntarily provide. The winner shall have no claim against the Portugal Cove-St. Philips Lions Club or Torbay Lions Club for invasion of privacy or any other ground(s) by reason of the publication or broadcasting of their Name, hometown or photograph or information voluntarily provided by the winner.

* Volunteers who are assisting with the draw that evening are not permitted to purchase tickets for that night’s draw.

Depending on the value of the prize pot, the winner may be given the winnings in a form of a cheque.
