TOWCESTER & DISTRICT LIONS CLUB has been part of  Lions Clubs International since the club was founded in 1974, and we have been serving the community of Towcester and South Northamptonshire for nearly 46 years providing support and help to the community and to those in need.

Lions Clubs International was founded in 1917 and now there are over 45,000 clubs in 205 countries worldwide made up of men and women who wish to use a little of their spare time to provide comfort and assistance to people less fortunate than themselves. To find out more about Lions Clubs International, please click on the link to the right.

Follow the links on the left to find out more about who we are and what we do. Here are a few highlights.

Towcester Farmers Market. Towcester Lions manage the monthly Farmer's Market which provides income for local good causes.

Towcester Midsummer Music Festival. Towcester Lions are part of the team which stages the annual Midsummer Music Festival.

Message In a Bottle. Towcester Lions actively supports this potentially life saving scheme and has distributed over 6000 bottles to disabled and elderly people in South Northamptonshire.

Lions Sight and Hearing Programmes.  We have collected and sent thousands of unwanted spectacles and hearing aids to those who can benefit from them in developing countries.

Being a Lion is not all community service and fundraising. Towcester Lions has a very active social programme and every month it arranges a social evening with partners and friends.

The members all agree that the need for "Fellowship and Fun" should be part of the reason for becoming a Lion.

If you would like more information, or to enquire about joining the club, please get in touch with one of the Lions shown in Contact Us, who look forward to hearing from you.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
