TOWN OF HOOSICK LIONS CLUB

WE SERVE

Christmas Tree Sale

The Lions held their annual Christmas Tree Sale at the Grand Union parking lot in town.  The sale provides a service to the community as well as being a major fundraiser for the club.  We sold 80 trees in about 4 hours.

One gentleman gave us an extra $5 for his tree. When he was told of his overpayment, he said he knew, and wanted us to have it.  When his daughter needed glasses some years back, the Lions paid for them.  This was his way of showing his appreciation.  It made us all feel great.

Wood Memorial Road Race - May 19, 2012

Welcome to the Town of Hoosick Lions Club website.

The Town of Hoosick Lions Club was chartered in 1960.  Cambridge was our sponsoring club.  A photo of the original 26 charter members can be seen in our photo gallery.

Since then, local Lions have been actively involved in the community.  The Penny Hunt has been a Lions tradition for the last 50 years.  Three generations of families have participated.  The Wood Memorial Road Race, another Lions event, is celebrating its 26th anniversary this year.   The local club donates to many local organizations as well.

Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.
