"You can't get very far in life until you start doing something for someone else."  Melvin Jones, founder of Lions Clubs International

Tucson Downtown Lions proudly serve our community in many ways - Come find out how much fun it is to help someone else.

Book Bike Books

-- Help Tucson Lions collect a few thousand children's books.  They will be handed out by the Pima County Book Bike in low income neighborhoods around the county.  (The book bike also hands out reading glasses provided by the Lions, along with an invitation to contact the Lions Vision Center to arrange for a professional eye exam.)

Adopt-A-School - Tucson Lions are there at school carnivals, lending a hand with gift selection and package wrapping at the holiday store, and assisting  teachers and staff at an elementary school located in a very low-income neighborhood.

Camp Abilities - Tucson Lions coming together to provide homecooked evening meals for visually impaired and deaf participants at a weeklong sports camp at the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind.

ALERT - The Arizona Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center (ALERT) here in Tucson is one of just a handful of Lions eyeglass recycling centers worldwide.  Tucson Downtown Lions Club collection boxes around town collect used glasses which we  wash, sort and package for shipment on missions to other countries.

Vision and hearing services for low-income individuals - Tucson Lions can help when other funding sources are unavailable.  Vision Ph:  (520) 900-2550

To support our service projects, Tucson Lions raise funds each year.

Tucson Lions and friends enjoy raising funds together at Rodeo

Many donors share stories about what a Lion has done for their family at some time.  Would you like to volunteer for a Lions project?  Contact us today.

Visit us on FACEBOOK - or EMAIL us today.

La Fiesta de los Vaqueros (Tucson Rodeo) - This one is a lot of work - but also a lot of fun.  Volunteers come from as far away as Canada to help Tucson Downtown Lions with the operation of food and beverage concessions at rodeo in February each year.

White Cane Drive - We ask for donations, but along with money we get so much more.
