Meetings

The latest thrill of being a Lion is to be able to go to a local school and conduct an eye exam with an eye exam camera.

Not all clubs have them yet, but many are gearing up either by fundraisers or other funding sources to buy them and to provide these services free of charge to the community. Prevent problems by getting checked early, and possibly save the life of a child you know with the gift of sight.

Not only are we able to screen for vision problems, we can sometimes fix eye problems such as a prostethic eye.  We sided with Tulsa Downtown and Tulsa Brookside and an eye doctor who works with prosthetic eyes in order to repair one that had failed.

Members of the Tulsa McCullough, Tulsa Brookside and Tulsa Downtown clubs, also pictured with the prosthetic eye patient, the surgical eye doctor.  We have a proud recipient of a new prosthetic eye.
