Pimmit Hills Day 2018 fundraiser, September 29, 11am - 3pm in Olney Park!

A New Beginning

Tysons Corner Lions Club has been through a lot in the last year. We lost one Lion who moved, two Lions who retired from Lions, and one from illness. Then we lost two members who transferred to another Lions Club. We wish to thank these Lions for their years of service in the Tysons Corner Lions Club. We will miss them and we wish the very best for them in their new endeavors.

So, the remaining members met with DG Jay Moughan to discuss what to do. He encouraged us to continue as a club and he offered support with two Guiding Lions, Lion Anne Ryan, and PDG Jim Ryan. The club decided to forge ahead: we have a fund raiser and service project scheduled. The club will reevaluate next year and then decide to stay on course or change direction.

Tysons Corner Lions Club has a ways to go, but we are up to the task. We appreciate the encouragement and guidance that we have received from our Guiding Lions, other Lions Clubs, and from DG Sally Kenavan.
