The International Association of Lions Clubs began as the dream of Chicago businessman Melvin Jones. He believed that local business clubs should expand their horizons from purely professional concerns to the betterment of their communities and the world at large.

And we Lions Club of Golden Valasaravakkam started at 27/05/2009 with the passion to serve the society and needy people. We are really proud to share our sponsoring club Lions Club of of Peripheral City is one of renowned club for their projects and vintage. The man who is behind forming this club was MJF Lion R. Murugesan and he was our Extension Chairman for the period of 2009,2010, our Guiding Lion MJF.Lion.R.Ponnusamy is played vital role in shaping our club on early stage. And this Charted Club was headed by Lion M.Subbramanian as President, Lion P.Saravanan as Secretary and  A.Sarankan as Treasurer.
