Lions assist with the Friday Pack Program, which provides backpacks of food each Friday to children at risk of hunger over the weekends.

Community Service Day

The Vicksburg Lions Club sponsored service projects throughout the Village of Vicksburg. More than 20 Lions gathered with other volunteers for fall cleanup and winterization projects at area residences, Sunset Lake, VHS, Kids Club and downtown. Lions also assist with Pantry organization. Salvation Army Bell Ringing

Lions Club members ring bell's for The Salvation Army at locations around the Village of Vicksburg. Look for us around Vicksburg this holiday season.

White Cane Fund Drive

Members of the Vicksburg Lions Club take to the streets to raise funds as part of the annual White Cane Fund Drive. Funds donated by community members will be used to offset fees for eye exams, eye surgeries, and glasses for those in need. Funds are also used to support The Michigan Eye Bank and Leader Dogs For The Blind.

The Vicksburg Lions Club has 45 members and meets on 2^nd & 4^th Mondays at 6:30 pm at The Vicksburg Community Center. Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs. The Michigan Eye Bank

Together with other Lions Clubs throughout Southwest Michigan, Vicksburg Lions made possible the printing of "The Blind Porcupine" by Malia and Madison Nichols. The book tells about corneal transplantation and the gift of sight froma child's perspective. www.michiganeyebank.org

Lion's of Michigan All State Band

The Vicksburg Lions Club spnsored the All State Band. The 2010 tour takes them to Sydney Australia for the Lions International Convention.

Lions Club members assisted in collecting and transferring donated food items from the Vicksburg Post Office to the Vicksburg Community Center food pantry.

Each year, the Vicksburg Lions Club & the Rotary Club jointly host a reception honoring the graduating class of Vicksburg High School. Lions will present two $1,000 Lions Scholarship Awards this year. The scholarship awards presented are based on scholarship, citizenship, and community service with an emphasis placed on community service.
