The Priceless Gift of Sight

You just visited your eye doctor and your prescription has changed.
You've had laser eye surgery and no longer need your glasses.
You updated your outfit and hair and your eyeglasses to match your new 'look'.

Whatever the reason, almost everyone has an old pair of eyeglasses that are no longer being used.
That pair of glasses can change someone else's life.

Throughout the year, Lions Club volunteers collect used eyeglasses and deliver them to regional Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers (LERCs). LERC volunteer clean, sort by prescription strength and package the glasses. Most of the recycled glasses are distributed to people in need in developing countries where they will have the greatest impact.

Imagine helping a child read. An adult succeed in their job. A senior maintain their independence. And provide a community with more opportunities to grow and thrive.
Every day, our recycled glasses programs do all of this and more. Here's how you can donate glasses and help.

Donate Your Eyeglasses

You can donate your used eyeglasses at the following locations in Walnut Cove

Tuttle Hardware - 311 N. Main St

Lions accept prescription and reading glasses, cases, sunglasses and empty plastic and metal frames. Children's glasses are especially needed.
