Wangi Lions Club - Lions e-Clubhouse

The Wangi Lions Club is proud to present the 47th Annual Dobell Festival of Art and Craft. With over $7000 in prize money across 6 categories of art - including the $1500 Dobell Prize - and 5 catagories of Craft.

This event represents a significant art show of the region. All entries will be on display and are for sale with all proceeds returned to the community.

Opening Night and Prize Presentation Friday 31st May 7:00pm

Tickets $20 includes welcome beverage, canapes and weekend pass.

Wangi Lions Club was formed in 1975 by Toronto Lions. The Charter from Lions International was presented on the 20^th June 1975.

The Club regards Rathmines, Wangi and surrounding areas as the local communities for Community Service projects.

The major fundraising project of the Club is the Dobell Festival of Art & Craft. This project is an outlet for Artists and Craftsman.

Service work for the local people is ongoing and includes Carols on Dobell, Lions Welcome Dinner and catering at special events run by sporting clubs and schools.

Lions donates money to youth activitiessuch as Scouts and schools, welfare agencies like the Salvation Army, World Vision and the Smith Family.

Wangi Lions like to enjoy themselves too and have a social programme to add to the enjoyment of working together to help needy causes.

Membership of a Lions is open to all people of good character aged 18 or over. Wangi club has about equal numbers of men & women. Enquiries about joining are welcome.

About Wangi Wangi
