The Ygnacio Valley Commuters Lions Club is one of over 40 clubs in our Contra Costa / Alameda County District and over 45000 clubs internationally dedicated to serving our local, bay area and world-wide communities.  Our members work both individually and in groups to support Lions projects and foundations.  Many of these involve sight - evolving from a challenge by Helen Keller in 1925 for Lions to become Knights of the Blind.  But we also serve youth, hearing impaired, and special needs people with our various activities.  For details, click on our Club Projects page.

We meet twice each month, to plan and report progress on our various activities.  This also provides an occasion for social interaction, giving members the opportunity to form friendships with like-minded people.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
