More than 400 children nourished with a glass of MILK

The recommended daily amount (RDA) of nutrient is determined by how much the body need to stay healthy. Nutritional deficiencies can be very significant to the overall health of children because growth and development can be seriously hinted by shortage in essential vitamins and nutrients.

LC Welisara donated Milk for over 400 children who were provided with a glass of Milk at the Sunday School conducted by Catholic Priest of Thewattha Church – Ragama.

All Club Members and their families participated for this service project after attending the Sunday mass.

Education is a fundamental need for all human being, but there are children’s who didn’t get that opportunity. As a club of Welisara, we lions took it as one of our main responsibility.

As a sign we start of giving books. Stationaries, school bag and pair of shoes to a grade 6 Student in Ja Ela area who suffered with poverty, at the welcome ceremony of our district governor Lion Ignatious Camillus at the pregasus Hotel

President Lion Yasas R Ariyaratne handed over the full pack of schooling items at the welcome ceremony. District governor Lion Ignatious Camillus, Zonal chairperson Lion Jeewantha and club secretory Lion Hemantha also participated at the presentation.
