White Plains Earth Day Celebration

The White Plains Lions Club is proud to assist with the Citywide Shoe Recycling Effort through April 19th.

This is the third year the City will undertake a shoe collection and recycling drive. In the last two years, local businesses, religious organizations, neighborhood associations and schools collected over 12,000 pairs of shoes that were diverted from the waste stream and went on to find a new life where they are greatly needed. 

The White Plains Lions Club is helping collect shoes and will help with sorting and packing on April 19th at Ebersole ice rink in White Plains.  This year, we have a goal of 10,000 pairs of shoes!  Please help us achieve it!
