 President Lion Ashik K Sharma

I feel humble and honored at same time as the club members have entrusted me to be their president for a third term at this difficult time of COVID-19.

I am pleased that this pandemic has not stopped our members from serving needy people. For example we donated £3000.00 to Bexley and Sidcup Community Hospice. Provided food for people who have lost their jobs due to COVID-19. Donated £500.00 to the British Heart Foundation. £250 for homeless people and similar amount for old people's Christmas lunch. Plans are a foot to help more needy people at this difficult time.

We have been active overseas as well. Donated £500.00 for two toilets for a school in Goa. Held two eye camps in India. This takes our tally of eye camps to over 55 camps.

When I was President last time we sent medicines to Moshi worth over £150,000. Similarly I want to ramp up activities to to raise money to help needy people for local and overseas. My ambition is to help as many more people  people as possible. This  means not only to help our regular charities but to widen our range to new and emerging groups and individuals who need help due to covid pandemic. To achieve this I have full confidence in our club members. Also we are busy recruting new members to become productive.
