Meetings

Welcome to our Website!

The Belfast Lions Club has been proudly serving Belfast and surrounding communities for more than 85 years.  Our club was organized and chartered in July, 1929, with 21 members.  Throughout its history, it has been a vital part of the greater Belfast community, which it helps support through services such as aid for the visually impaired, scholarships, and a wide range of programs for our youth, our senior citizens and all manner of folks in between.

Our current membership of around 50 men and women from all walks of life meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month from September through the first week of June.  Our regular meetings include a meal and ample opportunity for socializing.  Most club business is administered through our board of directors, which usually meets one time per month.  We also engage in numerous fund raising and service projects throughout the year.  Learn a little more about some of our service activities by visiting our Club Projects page. We are first and foremost a service organization, but we always manage to enjoy ourselves while serving others.

If you are a service-minded individual interested in improving the community in which you live, why not consider joining us?  To become a Lion is to become an active volunteer, a member of a respected international organization, a leader in your community and a friend to people in need.  Find out more about becoming a Lion by talking with any Belfast Lion.  Contact information may be found on our Contact Us page.
