We are Lions doing Lions work. In the aftermath of the COVID pandemic, we are called upon to find creative ways to help our communities - creative ways to attract members who want to pitch in and help - creative ways to raise the funds needed by the local communities charities. Please join us in any way you can as we continue to reach out and help others in need. We meet at the Grand Tavern Restaurant in Troy on Coolidge on the 2nd and fouth Thursday of the month.
As we have another busy year of community service, we would like to thank all those who contributed to making the first 50 years such a success. As we look to the future, we realize there is still much to do and much to be excited about. We hope you will join us in our work and our fellowship.
The Lions conduct fund raising programs in support of charitable programs wherever needs exist. In 1925, Helen Keller addressed the Lions Club International Association Annual Convention, challenging the lions to become "Knights of the Blind to crusade against darkness." Since then, Lions Clubs have focused their efforts on service to the blind and visually impaired.
The Lions Club International was founded in 1917 and has grown to be the largest service club organization in the world with over 1.3 million members in more than 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries.

Our club was originally chartered on April 14, 1972. Thirty men joined together as Charter Members. Current Club membership is now 28+ (men and women). Yearly Membership is $90 per person (discounted for additional family members). Membership privileges are extended to members at any Lions Club throughout the world.
