Club Christmas Project - Clarity Child Guidance Center of San Antonio
One of our annual events with Clarity is wrapping Christmas presents for all the children being cared for by Clarity. We wrapped enough presents to fill 22 large shopping bags on December 18. Clarity is the only nonprofit mental health treatment center for kids ages 3 to 17 in South Texas. Central Park Lions Club has provided and served pizzas for special dinners with the children who are receiving inpatient care.
Club Service Project - Assistance League of San Antonio
One of our ongoing service projects is our Club's members volunteering their time throughout the year to help at the Thrift House. Located at 2611 West Avenue, Assistance League of San Antonio, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, serves the San Antonio community. They strive to transform lives of children and adults through their various programs. Nearly 50 percent of the funds needed for these programs are raised through Thrift House sales.

The construction of the Habitat House is completed! On Saturday, November 15, 30+ volunteers laid sod and planted trees. The home dedication was also held with the family expressing their gratitude to all that labored to provide them a new home.
