It is with a saddened heart that I share with you the passing of East Knox Lion, Roy Landskroner.

Lion Roy has been our club's treasurer for many years.  Working turkey shoots, guns shows, repairs and numerous committees - the list goes on and on.
An avid outdoors man!  He enjoyed being outside for most anything - hunting, gardening and fishing were tops!  His zest for life was as big as the outdoors.
Lion Roy was admitted to Knox Community Hospital the Friday night of our convention weekend.  He so enjoyed getting the card everyone signed for him on Sunday and was pleased to recognize so many names!
Lion Roy was transferred from Knox Community Hospital March 13 to The Laurel's of Mount Vernon.
Since he was not able to attend the convention, when Lion Chris and I visited him on March 16, we presented him with the Melvin Jones Fellowship.  He was deeply honored and moved to tears to be a recipient.
And although he's a strong willed individual, there were too many health issues for him to overcome.  When Chris and I visited with him this past Friday, he shared with us that his entire family would be in for the weekend.  It was time to say good-bye.
No arrangements have been shared as yet except that Roy had told his son that donations be sent to the East Knox Lions Club:
Chris Fletcher, President
18920 Nunda Road
Howard OH  43028

We ask that you continue to keep Roy's family in your prayers.
