Winter at the Lions Park

Ennis Lions Park

The Ennis Lions not-so-modestly contend that our Lions Park is the Jewel of Ennis, Montana.  This park offers activities for literally every age group. The fish pond offers children 12 and under the opportunity to catch a “lunker” that would make any fisherman envious.  The Fish Hatchery located south of Ennis stocks the pond with enormous trout. The pond does have a platform that allows handicapped persons, especially those in wheelchairs, to fish safely.  The park has several play areas for various ages from toddlers through teens. The paved walking path offers a safe place to walk, run, bike, scooter or even push your walker. There is a softball field and a baseball field that are utilized from early spring through the summer months for ages as young as 5 and through the adult leagues.  Picnic tables, bar-b-ques, benches, a gazebo, an enclosed pavilion are surrounded by abundant grass and trees as well as being bordered on the south by the Madison River. The public restroom is provided in cooperation with the Montana Highway Department. The Lions members, Lions friends, and Lion family members spent immeasurable hours throughout the year, especially in the summer, with the care and maintenance of the Ennis Lions Park.
