Maintaining the local parks has been a project of the Lions for decades. Members dedicate their time to keeping the parks attractive for the residents and visitors. Any cost of maintenance such as bark or new greenery are covered by the club and is not a burden on the city or its budget. In fact, the fort at the armory was the work of the 2001-2002 “Project Lead” class with donations from the Fort Atkinson Lions Club.
