Our April Meeting 

Franklin MA Lions Club is going strong. At their monthly dinner meeting at the Alumni Restaurant, Franklin, MA two new members were inducted tonight by Lion Andy Porter, PDG, Jeff and Jessica Instasi, sponsored by Lion Cheryl Hobbs. Other guest was Lion Al Bozza from Norfolk Lions Club and will be guest speaker at Franklin Lions Club May dinner meeting.  And of course, Tail Twister Lion Cheryl was up to tricks tonight!!  Visitations coming up for Medway and Bellingham and MLERF Road Trip. It is a busy month.

At our next meeting on 4/10, if all could Donate a bottle of wine for our Fundraiser for 5/11 Event..”Wine in a Teacup”..that would be great. Please start selling tickets! $20 each and 20% of total sales goes to our Charities! Only 25 tickets will be sold!

Thank you to all who came to support Franklin MA Lions Fundraiser at Jimmy D's Wednesday March 27, we will follow up on Total Donated!

3rd District Advisor meeting was held on March 25th at the Coachmen's Lodge in Bellingham.  Several members of the Franklin club attended.  We learned about the many projects lion clubs across the district were participating in.  Our own lion Cheryl Hobbs received the District Governor's Appreciation Award for her commitment to the development of the Pride Program in partnership with the Franklin MA Lions Club.  Congratulations to Lion Cheryl on her good work.


At our March meeting our guest speaker Dale Kurtz from the Franklin office of Veteran Services spoke to us about the wonderful work his office is doing for our local veterans.  This includes help getting our veterans the services they are entitled to including, education, housing, and medical services.  He not only works here in Franklin but also servers the town of Avon and Norfolk County.  If you know of any veterans that needs help direct them to Dale's office at the Franklin Senior Center or email him at

GLT District Chair Pat Kalicki inducted two new members into our club.  If you or somebody you know would like to join with us in helping out our community please contact us or stop by our next meeting and join in the fun.
