Meetings

"This club was created, as many clubs are, because of population in the community and expansion of ideas.  It was recognized that another Lions Club could be productive through new and different fundraisers and initiatives as well as expenditure endeavors that focused on Helen Keller’s challenge to maximize donations to sight awareness needs and research.  With other new local businessmen and an initiative to vitalize the next generation of Lions, a group of core Lions club members, whose dedication to Lionism had been well proven, advertised to start the Greater Carroll Lions Club."

-Charter President Charles Wes Buckman

The Greater Carroll Lions Club was chartered on February 17, 2005 having been sponsored by the New Windsor Lions Club.  New Windsor’s then President Kevin Null opened the meeting and introduced the Officers.  Past District Governor John Hopkins, Lion Dick Liebno, Past International President Clement Kusiak along with Lion Walt Weller, were instrumental in our formation.  There were 22 Charter Members on the date of our charter.
