Hagersville Splash Pad

September 2016 UPDATE

Well, we officially broke ground on September 3, 2016 during our 9th annual Summers End Festival. Thanks to a number of people and organizations that came together in the last year or so, we are finally underway to construct this fantastic asset. The final design is pictured above and will feature 13 sprays and has a "sea" theme. Hopefully, most of the construction will be completed by the time we hit December. Things will pick up again in the early spring of 2017 with a soft opening for the May 2017 long weekend. We still have a ton of work to do in between, but we are in the ground!

It is really happening!

Your Hagersville Lions have been working hard for the last few years trying to work out the details for a proposed splash pad in the park beside the pool.

We received County approval on April the 28, 2014 and are now in the process of implementing our fundraising plan. We have created some concept plans, one of which is posted in the Photo section.

The county is providing a large part of the funding, without affecting the current tax rate. We are looking to raise around $150 - 200.000 for this project in order to make it a reality. We also hope to get this project installed in time for the 2016 summmer season. This all depends on the generosity of the community.

Help us to make this a reality and give our children another reason to hang out in the park.

UPDATE MAY 2015

We have been able to secure almost all of the funds in order for the project to move forward. THe timeline is as follows:

Summers End Festival will the installation of the project sign at the park

Fall of 2015 the tender process may be started

Fall of 2016 will see the wading pool being removed and the installation of the concrete work and plumbing

Spring of 2017 installation of the above ground spray features with the official opening to take place somewhere around May of 2017

We are almost there, but still require the support of the community. A public campaign will start soon and we are counting on your support.

Hagersville Skateboard Park (2009)

Its finally done! !

After 4 years, the Park is finally open and it has been busy. Kids of all ages have been flocking to it with their skateboards and bikes.

The park is built from concrete with stairs, rails and ramps. For users that are beginners to experienced, it will surely give all some great fun.

You can check it out by heading to the Hagersville Park, located in the heart of Hagersville. Just off of Parkview St. at Laidlaw St.

Just remember to bring your Helmet for safety kids ! !
