The hospital is asking anyone local to support their donation drive and leave donated eyeglasses, in one of their stations conveniently located in their cafeteria, their Eye Surgery Center or their Main Lobby. For more information about the locations to donate at the Clara Maass Medical Center please contact Ruth Lambo of their Community Health Department at 973-450-2997. |

Each year the Harrison Lions Club provides scholarships to college bound students from Harrison High School and sponsors a little league baseball team. In addition to these projects, the Harrison Lions Club also provides eye exams and eyeglasses to qualified Harrison residents. This is all possible through the efforts of the volunteers who hold fund-raisers to support such projects. The club also collects used eyeglasses that can be recycled. Each year, approximately $10,000.00 is raised and given out in the form of donations to various local charities and worthy service organizations. |
