McHenry Lions Club

Established in 1966 the McHenry Lions club has become a pillar of service within the city of McHenry, Illinois. Our devoted and hardworking members are committed to raising funds in order to help out those in need in our community.  Our primary goal is to assist sight and hearing impaired individuals in our community.  In order to do this, we host several fundraisers each year in the community.

The success of our fundraising allows us to donate back to the community each year in order to help those less fortunate.  In conjunction with the McHenry Township office and the McHenry School Districts, the McHenry Lions takes applications for individuals who need help with such things as:  eye exams, glasses, eye surgery,  and hearing aids.  In addition, our club accepts used eyeglasses that are then recycled and used to provide glasses to individuals throughout the world.  Our recognizable recycling boxes located throughout the city have become a common symbol of our presence in the community.

The McHenry Lions would like to thank you for visiting our website and hope that it inspires you to join us. We can always use more help.  If you would like to become a member or are in need of assistance, please feel free to contact us.

The motto of the Lions is-" We Serve"
