One drop-off point is inside Library Door
Used Eyeglasses and Hearing Aids: Year round, we have a collection box just inside the main entrance of the Monroeville Library. We also collect used Hearing Aids in the same container. There are also drop-off boxes at the Plum Community Center, UPMC Vison on Daugherty Dr, Jones, Kapp& Joyce, the Monroeville Giant Eagle, and America's Best Eyeglasses. They can be dropped off at the Farmers Market on Saturday mornings 2nd Saturday in May through third Saturday in Nov.

Our Causes
A hallmark of Lions Clubs all around the world is assistance and aid for the Visually Impaired. We support various vision-related concerns locally in financial and other ways.
The Monroeville Lions Club & Foundation also support the main focus areas designated by Lions Club International:
Hunger: We donate at least $1,000 annually to each of 4 local food banks
Environment: We have been participating for many years in the annual Monroeville (Sedlack) roadside cleanup project.
Youth and Childhood Cancer: We donate annually to the Pennies from Heaven program at Children's Hospital. We also donate annually to Envision Sports Camps for visually impaired children.
Hearing: We collect used hearing aids for refurbishing and donate to Lions hearing programs in Western PA.
Community: The Monroeville Lions contribute to various other worthy causes locally such as High School scholarships, Monroeville Library, and Spectrum Charter School

Mission Statement:
The Monroeville Lions Club will endeavor to empower volunteers to serve their community and meet humanitarian needs while also fostering friendship and good fellowship within and beyond the Club. The Lions Club will at times join with other Lions Clubs in efforts to aid causes regionally, nationally, and globally as deemed worthy by the Club. Our emphasis will be on assistance to the visually impaired while still being mindful of various local needs.
