Lions Fishing Pier at the Santee Lakes, 9310 Fanita Parkway, Santee, Ca. 92071

The Rancho Santee Lions, in cooperation with the Santee Lakes, has installed a handicapped accessible fishing pier.  The pier features lower sections to allow wheel chair accessibility, as well as standard height rails for the general public. A canopy was installed to provide shade for those fishing or just enjoying the view. The pier was paid for through the fund-raising efforts of the Rancho Santee Lions, donations from several other Lions Clubs and local Business as well as a grant from Lions Clubs International Foundation.

Lions Sensory Garden at the Santee Lakes, 9310 Fanita Parkway, Santee, Ca. 92071

The Rancho Santee Lions, in cooperation with the Santee Lakes, has installed a specially designed sensory garden for the enjoyment of the visually impaired. The choice of plants selected features various scents and textures. Each plant is identified with a plaque, which is also written in braille.  Benches within the garden allow visitors to relax, take a break from their walk and enjoy the sights and scents of the beautiful garden.

The sensory garden was made possible by the generous donations of many. You can contribute to the maintenance and continued support of this garden through the purchase of personally engraved paver stones at $500 each.
