One of our two fund raising events was held May 1 and 2 at the annual Apple Blossom Festival  at the South Mountain Fairgrounds in Adams County. The festival, which ran from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and featured homemade arts and crafts, apple bobbing and apple pie-eating contests, a children’s magic show, a car show and free rides through orchards in a wagon pulled by an antique tractor.

The festival setting is near Arendtsville in Adams County, which is Pennsylvania’s No. 1 county for fruit production, with 20,000 acres of land devoted to apples, peaches and other fruits. The two-day event is sponsored by the Adams County Fruit-Growers Association.

Our  food stand the "Ye Olde Country Butcher Shop" is where volunteers from the club sell our delicious breakfast sandwiches.

The money raised is used to support local support agencies such as the the Cashtown Fire department and the Cashtown Girl & Boy Scouts. We also assist local families that may be going through tough times.

Our 2nd project is the National Apple Harvest Festival held Oct 2 & 3 and 9 & 11  from 8 am to 6 PM both weekends. It is the most attended and our biggest fund raising project.

From the fund earned we support our local American Caner Society, Make-a-Wish, MS Society, The March of Dimes,Special Olympics, National Arthritis Foundation, The Salvaltion Army, American Diabetes Assn., Hospice, American Heart Assos. and Habitat for Humanity. We also support local little league teams and help individuals and families in the Cashtown area.
