Peace Poster Competition 2010/2011

 Our Peace Poster competiton for 2011 has commenced.

"Vision of Peace" is the theme of the 2010-11 Peace Poster Contest. Lions clubs can sponsor the program in their community for children in local schools or organized, sponsored youth groups. Students, ages 11, 12 or 13 on November 15, are eligible to participate. Through the contest, students are encouraged to visually depict their interpretation of the contest's theme.

If your school is not involved and would like to be, please contact the club. All prizes for the entrants & the winning school are donated by the Bendigo Bank at Munno Para.

 Youth of Year Quest 2011 

 The Quest is designed to encourage student interest in leadership and the qualities required to take an active and constructive role in the community. It does this by selecting an outstanding young person from candidates throughout Australia to travel overseas and act as an ambassador for Lions Clubs International Multiple District 201. The international travel is conducted under the auspices of Lions Clubs International.

 The club competition will be held on Sunday 13/2/2011.

 Tertiary Scholarship

 The winner of our annual Tertiary Scholarship will be announced on Wednesday 23/2/2011. The scholarship is awarded to a student from the Fremont Elizabeth High School who excelled in year 12 in 2010. The scholarship is to assist them with the costs associated with commencing University.

 Look out for us selling the best cooked sausages at Bunnings Munno Para.
