We had a very successful Mother's day rose fund raiser and wish to thank all those who supported us and hope that all the mothers receiving roses enjoyed them and had a good mother's day.

Thanks for your support, without your help we can't help the community.

It is summer camper time. If you know of a child with disabilities or type-1 diabetes, please see our poster in the photo gallery. It says that applications need to be quickly, but there is still time to get the applications in. They can be done on line by going to http://www.lionscamp.com/ click on the application tab on the left and follow the instructions. Also contact Lion Ro Polanco at 915-526-0001, her numbers are also on the contact list.

We are excited to continue to sponsor a "Terrific Kid" program at Rusk Elementary School. Two students from each class will be selected by their teacher each month as the class' Terrific Kid. We presented these students with a Certificate signed by our Lion Boss and two pencils stating that they are a "Terrific Kid". We are looking forward to continuing this project. Our next day for giving out certificates is June 1st.

We continue to serve food to the less fortunate every third and fourth Tuesday of the each month at the Opportunity House. They have a great chef and we are proud to serve his food to the men. We are averaging about 100 men each night. We also provide toiletries for the women at the opportunity house. View the photos of our youth exchange students helping to serve the food. We have photos of last year's youth and this year.

We continue to help with the District project to build a ramps for seniors who qualify. Ramp building is the third Saturday of each month. If you would like to help contact one of our officers. We have posted some pictures of our ramp building.

We also recycle used toner cartridges old cell phones so don't throw them away call us and we will get them from you. And don't forget the used eyeglasses and hearing aids, we can reuse them also.
