Service Activities

The Fond du Lac Evening Lions provide services to community, state and international projects to help those in need have a better life through vision, hearing, handicapped or other projects that help those less fortunate than ourselves.

Eye Tissue Transporters

Several of our members volunteer their time, car and gas to transport eye tissue to our Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin in Madison or corneas prepared for surgery to the Fox Valley.

Leader Dogs for the Blind

Leader Dogs enhances the lives of people who are blind and visually impaired through free, innovative programs.

Lions Clubs International Foundation

The foundation is set up to mostly help people of disasters, such as tornados, hurricanes and large scale diseases.

Used Eyeglass and Hearing Aid Collection

Our club collects used eyeglasses and hearing aids at the following locations.

Wisconsin Lions Camp

The Lions of Wisconsin own one of the best camps for special needs persons in the world.  Several Fond du Lac area residents attend a week of camp at no charge.

Locally Funded Projects

The Evening Lions donates a large portion of their proceeds to local organizations that help people.  Some agencies include the Back to School Program, FDL County HCE (First Books Program), Boy Scout Klondike Derby, Boys and Girls Club, Brooke Industries - Miracle League, Shop with a Cop, Habitat for Humanity, Family Resource Center, and provide eye glasses and exams to needy Fond du Lac residents.

 

 

Fund Raisers

Fond du Lac Evening Lions Flea Market

We have taken over the Flea Markets that were held by B & B Productions at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds several times each year.

Gun Shows

We are the sole food booth at the Central Wisconsin Gun Collectors Show held at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds in January, April and October.
