Be sure to register for the 28 annual Tour de Fort Metric Century, offering quarter, half and full metric century. Registration is open through the day of the event. Very nice scenic views throughout Jefferson County. Extra rest areas stocked with tasty biking food and as always, it includes a ticket to the famous Lions Chicken & Corn Dinner!

Lions Park on October 12, 2013 at the dedication of a plaque to honor Gus Klatt, one of our greatest Lions ever, and his friend Pat Abendroth.  The plaque commemorates  Erwin “Gus” Klatt and R.C. “Pat” Abendroth, representing the State of Wisconsin, who in 1976 traveled in this “Prairie Schooner” wagon pulled by horses, along with a wagon train eventually composed of all fifty  states, from Wisconsin to Valley Forge, Pennsylvania to celebrate our country’s bicentennial year.  The trip took over two months. To learn more about this trip from Gus himself, click on the following video.
