MEMBERSHIP:  Want to make a difference in the world? Consider membership in the Freetown Lions Club. The Lions Club has as one of its goals the elimination of preventable blindness. The members are ordinary people who pay dues, hold a dinner meeting once a month, and work together to raise money to contribute to the promotion of our main goal and to local causes as well. EYEGLASS DONATIONS: Eyeglasses can be deposited in the purple and yellow receptacle at Sedell's Pharmacy on Main St. in Assonet, which is next to the Post Office.  A second donation box is located at the Senior Center in E. Freetown.  Both of these boxes have been emptied and are ready to accept new donations.  Thank you for your continued support of this program.  So far this year, a total of 537 eyeglasses have been donated at these two collection sites thanks to you!

Projects or Causes we have funded: scholarships for local students, student participation in the Massachusetts All-State Band, donations for eye research, donations for emergencies, support for participation in Camp Kyle, a summer camp for diabetic children, contributions to the Senior Heating Assistance fund, the town food drive, the FES food drive.

ONGOING FUNDRAISERS:

LIONS FIGHT FOR SIGHT WRIST BANDS are now being sold for $3 each. These can be obtained by contacting any of the Officers of the Club. They are dark purple with yellow lettering and made of silicon.

Reflective House Number Signs are being sold for $25 installed or $15 (sign only) for self-installation. Please contact anyone of the officers listed above if you are interested.

BOTTLE AND CAN CAMPAIGN: The proceeds from these donations will be used to fund the Club's charity account. Anyone with questions or to arrange a pickup, please call Lion Lucille M. Rosa at 508-644-5477.
