Meetings

The Gateway Lions Club meeting was held on April 1, 2014 at the VFW in Menahga

Jim Johansen of Lake Park, Mn. from the Communications Team gave a talk on, obviously, Communicating and Promoting our Lions club.

Randy Beaver of Verndale, Mn. is the Global Membership Team Coordinator. He gave a talk on how to build up the club membership.

We got alot of interesting ideas from both of them and appreciate their coming to our meeting.

Kari Carlson gave us information about the Wrestling Results. The boys had a great time and very were appreciative of the help the Lions gave them.

We received thank you cards from Amiee and Tara, 6th graders for the Lions contributions for Bingo for Books.

Received a card from "Patience" our Cando Canines Laborador in training sponsored by our Lions Club. She attended a training at the IKEA store in Minneapolis along with a number of other trainees. She sure is growing.

Elaine Hollerud received from the Minnesota Lions Diabetic Foundation the "Catch the Dream" Dreamcatcher award for her support. Congratulations Elaine!

Kim Rasmussen and Shar Lusti received from the Lions Eye Foundation the "Helen Keller Award for the Blind" for their support. Congratulations Kim and Shar!

Lyle and Jeri Heldt, Betty Hotakainen and Kari Carlson received from Can Do Canines the "Top Dog Awards" for their support. Congratulations to you all!

It was a very good and informative meeting.  Hope you can all make it next month.
