GOLDSTON LIONS CLUB

"We Serve"

The Goldston Lions Club was chartered in 1947.  We have 22 active members.  We are excited about our annual community project sponsoring Old Fashion Day of Goldston; as we  use these proceeds to assist us as we work and serve others in our area.

LIONS CLUB INTERNATIONAL

Since the Lions beginnings in 1917, we have shared a common goal of helping those less fortunate.  We are the largest service organization in the world.  You will find us in 200+ countries and are united to help the visually impaired.  We are also working with diabetes awareness, and finding help for the disabled, the eldery, deaf and the underprivileged.  in fact, whatever the community needs, we are there to help!

In 1925, Helen Keller challenged the Lions to become "Knights of the Blind."  Never in her wildest dreams would she imagine the impact of her challenge.  Lions have established eye banks worldwide, funded research on the leading causes of blindness, and organized eyeglass recycling.  Our efforts have helped hundreds of thousands of visually impaired people live productive lives.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
