WAIAKEA LIONS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA 
 
MISSION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP:  Waiakea Lions Club promotes the pursuit of higher education by awarding scholarships to students graduating from Waiakea High School. The Graduate may use the scholarship to attend any community college college or university. 
CRITERIA for Scholarship: 

1)Application: Complete and submit the Waiakea Lions Club Scholarship application.

2)Financial Need: In 500 words or less explain your financial need, community service participation, name and address of school to be attending, and area of study, e.g.  Teacher, Business, Pre-med, Engineer, Auto Mechanic, Carpentry, etc. and how this scholarship would assist in your pursuit of higher education.

3)Applicant must be accepted and attend: a University or College or Community College 

4)Grade point:  must be 2.5 or higher (attach Transcript)

SELECTION:
Selection process will be based on the following priority criteria by the Waiakea Lions Club: • Financial Need • Participation in Community Service • Grades

DEADLINE: 
The completed application including all items listed in the Criteria for Scholarship must be submitted by email to the following email address by April 28, 2020: Waiakealionsclub@gmail.com  Please include your name in the file name and submit as a pdf document.
