2024 Christmas Tree Pickup
Yes! We are doing our annual Christmas Tree Pickup fundraiser this year!
January 6, 9AM - Noon
Please leave your tree out BEFORE 9am or our scouting crew might miss you - out and visible on your front curb (not back laneways please!)
Volunteers will roam through Nelson (Rosemont, Fairview, Gyro and Uphill) picking up your “previously loved and gently used” Christmas trees - saving you some time and heartache on its final farewell. All monies raised go back in to our community! Leave your tree outside near the street on pick-up day (date TBA) and we'll take care of the rest.
We request a donation of $10 per tree, cash or cheques to “Nelson Lions Club” please. Leave it attached in a ziplock bag, in your mailbox or at your door - or contact us via our website to send an eTransfer beforehand.
$10/tree (minimum) donation
All trees are ground up and composted locally - nothing is thrown away!
Pick-up Truck owners! If you wish to volunteer (we need pickup trucks & drivers!) please let us know.
