Oshawa Airport Lions Club - Club Projects |
The goal of the Oshawa Airport Lions Club is to raise funds through various community events. ALL proceeds are then donated back to the community through non-government funded charitable and not-for-profit organizations.
WHAT WE DO IN THE COMMUNITY:
- help families and individuals who require assistance
- donate to school events, community group events, seniors, etc.
IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE THE OSHAWA AIRPORT LIONS ALSO SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING LIONS PROGRAMS:
- Lions Foundation of Canada Service Dogs:
- Canine Vision for people who are blind or visually impaired
Hearing for people who are deaf or hard of hearing
Autism Assistance for children who have autism spectrum disorder
Service for people who have a physical or medical disability
Seizure Response for people who have epilepsy
Diabetic Alert for people who have diabetes with hypoglycemic unawareness
Support for professional agencies assisting individuals in traumatic situations
- Canine Vision for people who are blind or visually impaired
- Lions Clubs Camp Kirk Foundation (for children with learning disabilities)
- Sleeping Children Around the World
- Lions Club International Foundation (Worldwide disaster relief)
- Lions Home for the Deaf
