Announcements
Our club was chartered in 1937, and we will be celebrating our Diamond Jubilee all year long. We have added new meeting times and places so that our growing membership can attend when possible. Our main celebration will be a semi-formal dinner/dance on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Leon’s at the Canyon. We especially want to recognize Lions who have served in the past, and will be contacting them or their descendants. Plans for a special raffle and silent auction are being discussed.
We will also be working hard at our fund raisers and community projects. The Anderson Grant funds that we received last year are helping us to provide even more free eye exams and glasses to the many disadvantaged school children in the Palm Springs Unified School District. We have also just begun to sponsor the Cathedral City Little League Baseball Field.

1946: We purchased our first guide dog. It was given to a young girl who was blind.
